Although the field of AI has not accomplished its core objectives so far], accomplished up-to-date has been contributing to enhance the lives of humankind|the progress that has been accomplished already is serving the humans in great ways. Computer games have become one of the fields where there is a lot of artificial intelligence application. Do you remember the games of good old days where you know where exactly the monster appears with a gun? The game never adjusted itself although you were playing it for more than one time. Therefore, the game play becomes boring after playing it a couple of times. To avoid this, artificial intelligence application has been the answer. Now, the game changes its strategy time to time based of the circumstance, so the player will have to do the same. Now playing a game which has artificial intelligence is exciting than ever.

Speech recognition is generally leading in artificial intelligence applications. By mid of 1990, speech recognition programs have been developed for limited use in many industries including Microsoft word processing programs. Although we use the keyboard and the mouse for interacting with the home and office computers, scientists are hoping to substitute them with accurate speech recognition programs.

Although natural language processing is pretty similar to speech recognition, there is a fundamental difference in the core. When it comes to speech recognition, it interprets the words to text or executes some predefined command based on what is being said. But in natural language processing, the computer needs to ‘understand’ and relate the words to what the system ‘knows’ and respond accordingly. Scientists are hopeful of rapid developments of artificial intelligence application in this area.

Another focus of AI is that the computer and three dimentional vision. When it comes to artificial intelligence application, there are a few significant use of computer and three dimensional vision. Do you remember ‘Pathfinder’ vehicle which extracted information of surface of Mars? This vehicle was partially controlled from the Earth, through vehicles cameras. If the vehicle had computer and three dimensional vision, then the vehicle would have travelled by its own by understanding what it sees in a three dimensional paradigm.

Expert systems have been one of the oldest artificial intelligence applications. These systems usually contains a certain degree of knowledge in a specific domain and able to share its judgment with the humans.
